Double
Happiness - This Chinese character is literally the words "happiness"
and "happiness" joined together. It is often used for
weddings symbolising the happiness of two people together, and standing
side by side. In each calligraphy painting, you can probably see
the smiles in the character. Throughout the centuries in Chinese
tradition, , red has always been the lucky colour. This is why you
often see red colours are used in many happy occasions including
weddings and christening. The calligraphy on this page is painted
in black ink on either red paper with gold flake; or on white paper
with or without gold flake.
